Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
1. About this service
ParkSafe Chicago (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an informational tool that helps Chicago residents look up street sweeping schedules and receive optional alerts and notifications. The service includes free features and optional paid (“Pro”) features. By accessing or using this site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Schedule accuracy and disclaimer
Schedule data is sourced from the City of Chicago's public datasets and is provided for informational purposes only. ParkSafe Chicago makes no representation or warranty, express or implied, that the data is complete, accurate, current, or reliable. The City of Chicago may alter, suspend, or cancel sweeping schedules at any time without notice. You are solely responsible for verifying your schedule with the City of Chicago or posted street signs before making any parking decisions.
3. No liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ParkSafe Chicago, its owners, operators, and contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, this service — including but not limited to parking tickets, towing charges, fines, vehicle damage, missed alerts, or any other loss or expense. This limitation applies regardless of whether the claim is based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other theory, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
4. No warranty
This service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice or liability.
5. Email communications
By creating an account or subscribing to alerts, you agree to receive emails from ParkSafe Chicago. These may include:
- Transactional emails — account confirmations, sweep reminders, and security notifications. These are required for the service to function and cannot be opted out of while your account or subscription is active.
- Service update emails — announcements about new features, improvements, or changes to the service.
- Promotional emails — information about Pro features, offers, and upgrades. You may opt out of these at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every promotional email.
Delivery of alerts is not guaranteed. Factors outside our control — including email filtering, server availability, and data accuracy — may affect whether and when you receive a notification. We are not liable for any consequences resulting from a missed, delayed, or undelivered alert.
6. SMS alerts
If you opt in to SMS alerts, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated text messages from ParkSafe Chicago at the phone number you provide, including sweep reminders and service notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or by updating your notification preferences in your account settings. For help, reply HELP or contact us at hello@parksafechicago.com. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchasing any service.
7. Paid subscriptions (Pro)
Certain features require a paid Pro subscription. By subscribing, you agree to the following:
- Billing — Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected). Payment is processed by Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
- Cancellation — You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to Pro features through that date.
- Refunds — Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. We may issue refunds at our sole discretion in cases of billing errors or exceptional circumstances.
- Price changes — We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. We will notify active subscribers before any price change takes effect.
- Service changes — We may modify, add, or remove Pro features at any time. Removal of a material Pro feature may entitle you to a prorated refund at our discretion.
8. Shared alerts
Pro subscribers may share sweep alerts with additional email addresses. By using this feature, you represent and warrant that each recipient has consented to receive emails from ParkSafe Chicago. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any email address. We reserve the right to remove shared recipients and suspend accounts that generate spam complaints.
9. Accounts
If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our sole discretion, including for violation of these terms or misuse of the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to use ParkSafe Chicago in any way that:
- Involves automated scraping, crawling, or bulk data extraction without permission
- Interferes with or degrades the service for other users
- Attempts to gain unauthorized access to any system or data
- Violates any applicable local, state, or federal law
We reserve the right to block access for any user or IP address that violates these restrictions.
11. Intellectual property

12. Third-party services
ParkSafe Chicago integrates with third-party services including Google Maps, Supabase, Resend, Stripe, Twilio, and Vercel. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party service.
